New Porsche Cars IN 2010 IS ROAD SPORT Cars. No, 9ff isn’t a typo error, but a tuner from Dortmund, Germany specialising in Porsches. While names like Gemballa and Ruf are added famous, 9ff’s GTurbo bales for the Porsche 997 GT3 and GT3 RS are apprenticed to get a few headlines. Let’s booty the case of the 997 GT3 RS for affecting effect. 9ff put a Bi-Turbo about-face to the accepted 450 bhp agent with upgrades such as titanium abutting rods and added able artificial pistons. Three bales are available: GTurbo750 with 750 bhp/850 Nm, GTurbo850 with 850 bhp/910 Nm and the GTurbo1000 with 1000 bhp/940 Nm of torque.

Choose the 1000 bhp advantage and your Porsche will advance from 0-100 km/h in a bare 2.9 seconds. 0-200 km/h is done in 8.2 abnormal and 9ff claims that you can technically go on to 392 km/h. To do that, mods like rear fenders with air intakes (for the intercooler) and air outlets in the advanced fender to abate the burden in the caster wells at aerial acceleration are made. Not abounding absolutely want, or can handle, that array of performance, so 9ff sells an aerodynamic kit for Euro 8,900, and ablaze alloys (fits approved tyres) at Euro 4,890. There are additionally rims with a axial lock arrangement at Euro 5,950.

APS Sportec Powers Porsche 911 Turbo to 580-Horsepower


The tuners over at APS of Brackley, which is the UK importer for the Swiss company Sportec, have unveiled a new performance kit for the 'facelifted' version of the 911 Turbo. In standard form, the 997 Turbo's six-cylinder, 3.8-liter boxer engine delivers 493 bhp.

By reconfiguring the ECU and adding a sport air-filter and a stainless steel sports exhaust system with high flow catalytic converters and two 70mm twin-tailpipes, Sportec managed to boost output to 580 bhp at 6,500 rpm. Peak torque hits 800 Nm (590 lb.ft) at 3,500 rpm with more than 700 Nm (516 lb.ft) available from 2,700 to 5,500 rpm.

While no performance data has yet been gathered for the conversion, APS Sportec estimates that the tuned 911 Turbo can rocket from rest to 100km/h (62mph) in 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of approximately 317km/h (197 mph).

The performance kit is available for both the six speed manual or PDK variants of the November 2009 onwards Porsche 911 Turbo, with pricing set at £9400.00 fitted, including 17.5 per cent VAT.

Along with the engine upgrades, the company also offers a comprehensive range of Sportec components for the latest 911 Turbo including forged alloy wheels, suspension and braking upgrades, as well as cosmetic enhancements.


Switzer R911S: Manic Porsche 911 with 911 Horsepower


Switzer Performance seems to have some bonkers customers, because they're the kind of people who are in the market for this: the Switzer R911S.

The kit is built on Switzer's P800 package for the GT2, but now develops 911 horsepower (that's 291HP more than the recently revealed 911 GT2 RS) thanks to good ol' race fuel and some fine-tuning.

Cornering duties are handled by a "titanium inverted-front-strut, remote-reservoir suspension" developed by JRZ. When ordered, Switzer custom-tunes it for each owner's level of experience (but really, how does one handle 900+ horsepower?).

There's also a superlight version offered. Called the R911S Carbon, it wears carbon fiber body panels by Seibon.

The base R911S comes in at a hair under $200,000, while the Carbon runs that entry fee up to about $240,000. At least those prices include the car. Right?

TechArt Launches New Performance Kits for Facelifted Porsche 911 Turbo


Longtime Porsche tuner TechArt is at it again. This time, the object of its tuning affection is the refreshed and more powerful Porsche 911 Turbo that was revealed at last year's Frankfurt Motor-Show.

In particular, the German firm has launched a new performance kit available in two stages that provide the 911 Turbo with an extra punch and even more power.

The first stage is called the 'TA 097/T1' and it includes a recalibrated engine control unit and the use of a sport air filter. Theses upgrades add an extra 70HP bumping power up to 570HP. That allows the 911 Turbo to sprint to 100km/h (62mph) in 3.2 seconds and max out at 324 km/h or 201 mph.

On top of the aforementioned mods, the second stage kit 'TA 097/T2' also involves the installation of new manifolds and a custom sport exhaust system, pushing output to 620HP and 820Nm (604.8 lb-ft) of peak torque, up from the standard car's 500Hp and 700Nm or 516 lb-ft - with overboost.

As a result, the Porsche 911 Turbo complete the 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) sprint in 2.9 seconds, while the 200 km/h barrier is broken in 9.3 seconds and the sports car reaches a top speed of 333 km/h or 208 mph.


2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS: New Photos Surfaces Online


New Photos of Porsche's hotly anticipated 911 GT2 RS - apparently shot during some sort of official presentation- have made their way on the internet revealing Stuttgart's hardcore sports car in all its glory.

The pictures reveal that the baddest ever road-going version of the 911 gets a wider body, spoilers of all sorts, a carbon fiber hood and massive air intakes behind the doors along with a new set of wheels.



The interior on the other hand has been stripped out (notice the latches on the doors) and fitted with a pair of bucket seats, which like the rest of the cabin, are trimmed in red Alcantara.

We don't have the mechanical details yet, but it is said that the new RS packs a modified version of the 911 GT2's twin-turbocharged flat-six producing over 600HP.

It is also reported that the weight saving measures on Porsche's rear-wheel drive 'widow maker' have shaved almost 100kg or about 220 pounds from the kerbweight.

We'll have more on the new 911 GT2 RS as soon as more information or/and pictures are available.

Porsche Offers New Accessories Including Awesome Fuchs Rims for 911


Porsche is ramping up its aftermarket offerings for the 911 sports car through a range of distinctive new retrofit accessories. Heading the list of goodies are the eye-catching 19-inch Sport Classic alloy wheels that mimic the look of the legendary Fuchs rims and were first presented on the limited production 911 Sport Classic with the 'duck tail' spoiler.

The five-spoke rims come together with tires in size 235/35 ZR 19 at the front and 305/30 ZR 19 at the rear and are offered on all current AWD models of the 911 Carrera and Targa series as well as the 911 Turbo at an all-in price per set of €5,569 (about US$7,156) or €5,866.70 for cars equipped with a tire pressure control.

Next up is the three-spoke sports steering wheel with gearshift paddles for the PDK transmission from the new 911 Turbo. Priced at €940 (US$1,208), the new steering wheel can be retrofitted on all versions of the 911, Boxster, Cayman, and Panamera with PDK and, starting in August 2010, on the new Cayenne with Tiptronic S.

For those wanting to improve the 911 Carrera Coupe's aerodynamics, Porsche offers the newly developed Aerokit Cup that's inspired by the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup racer. It includes a new front apron with trim bars and a spoiler lip and a unique rear wing.

Already available on new cars at a price of €4,968.25 (US$6,393), the Aerokit Cup can retrofitted on current models of the 911 for €4,522 (US$5,819) plus fitting and paintwork.

Finally, Porsche has released a new Sport Design front apron available for the 911 Carrera Coupe and Convertible as well as the Targa models priced at €2,368.10 (US$3,047) when ordered on new cars and at €2,159.85 (US$2,778) plus the cost of fitting and paintwork for retrofit.
