Honda CR-Z Guerrilla Marketing gets Extremely Spicy in Paris...

At least in Europe, Honda is following some pretty unconventional methods to promote its new CR-Z hybrid sports coupe. In fact, unless you're the artsy type or have a vivid imagination, you'll have a pretty hard time trying to figure out how Honda, the CR-Z or any car for that matter, fit in the "Live Every Litre" film project.

But just so you can get an idea, the "Live Every Litre" is supposed to be a documentary-style road movie in which numerous members of the public have been nominated by the project's online community to realize their dream in the new Honda CR-Z hybrid coupe.

In this case, Agent Lynch, aka Kate Rawlinson (originally from Newcastle), wanted to perform the world's first guerrilla burlesque routine in the streets of Monmartre in Paris.

The young law-degree-holder, who by the way, does not appear to have a driver's license as she had her boyfriend drive the CR-Z (...), performed a public striptease for the unsuspecting yet clearly delighted Paris crowd.

Agent Lynch left little to the imagination stripping from her vintage dress right down to her lacy lingerie and then to top it off, she poured blue paint all over her naked body before imprinting herself on a white and red satin flag to form the French tricolore - sweet.

Not that we have anything whatsoever against young women showing off their bodies in the name of art, but we repeat; all this was done as part of Honda's European promotion of the new CR-Z. Then again, we did post a story on the event...

2009 Honda Legend: Euro market Acura RL says no to front-shield

Honda Legend Facelift 2009 Acura RLEver wonder how the North American market 2009 RLwould look like without that gaudy ‘armor shield’ that Acura likes to call a front grille? Then check out the European market Honda Legend facelift that was unveiled at the Moscow International Auto Show. The new grille fits nicely to the revised front-end giving the luxury sedan a more classy appearance. Other than that, the Legend is nothing more than a rebadged 2009 Acura RL. On the outside, the most noticeable changes of the facelifted version are the new lights, bonnet, front wings, boot lid, bumpers and the adoption of standard 18" wheels. -Continued

Mechanical changes include the new 3.7-liter V6 VTEC engine that replaces the previous 3.5-liter V6 unit and is coupled to an all-new 5-speed gearbox with revised steering wheel mounted paddle-shifters and new gearbox software. According to Honda, the new Legend can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.1 seconds, 0.2 seconds quicker than before. Fuel economy and CO2 figures have also been improved over the previous model. In terms of chassis upgrades, while the Legend’s SH-AWD system remains unchanged, the settings for the suspension have been altered to improve the ride and handling.

Honda also refined the Legend’s cabin by equipping it with a suite of NVH reducing technologies, the most advanced of which is the Active Noise Cancellation system (ANC), which cancels out low frequency noise by playing the opposite wave form through the Bose sound system. The 2009 Legend also gets new Active Head Restraints and heated rear seats while the Bose Audio system now has a USB socket enabling the connection of an iPod.

Acura 2+1 Coupe Concept Study: Design Proposal for an Affordable NSX

The new V10-powered NSX may have bitten the dust due to the enduring global economic crisis but that doesn't mean that Honda fans can't continue to dream on. The Acura 2+1 Coupe Concept you see pictured above is a design proposal for a more affordable and down to earth NSX created by Colombian designer Leon Paz during his internship at Honda R&D Americas.

Acura 2+1 Coupe NSX Concept Study The concept features an aggressive look that adopts what Paz calls, a multi-faceted design language. "The idea was to show very aggressive styling on the body and keep it very simple on the top section with a dynamic roof line flow," Paz explains. One of the most interesting styling elements of the Acura coupe with its 2+1 seating arrangement is the prolonged transparent rooftop that allows a see-through view of the engine compartment.
